How Advicity handles what you hand your board, in plain English.
Version 1, effective September 25, 2026
We may update this policy, and we will tell you before an update reaches you, in the way section 13 sets out.
1. Who we are
Advicity is run by Advicity LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. We decide how the information described here is used. Questions about your privacy go to ms@getadvicity.com, or by post to Advicity LLC, 30 North Gould Street, Suite 53909, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801.
2. The short version
- Your board reads only what you hand it.
- Your board is invisible to every other member and to anyone who pays for your seat. No toggle, no exception.
- What you seed your board with is used to answer you, and for nothing else. It never trains anyone else’s board.
- Changing your plan never deletes a thing.
- You can export all of it, and you can have all of it erased.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not show you ads.
3. What we hold, and why
Your account. Your email address, and what you need to sign in: an emailed link or a password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never stored in a form anyone can read. We use your email address to sign you in and to write to you about your account.
Your board. What you hand your board, so that it can answer you and keep your record:
- your North Star, kept by version so your board knows when it changed;
- your advisors and their settings, including which are switched on and what you call your Chair;
- your sessions: each question you ask, and the answer you were given;
- your decisions: what you chose, how sure you were, and the date it should be judged;
- the outcomes you record, and any notes you add;
- what each advisor remembers about you, drawn from the above;
- the material you choose to give it. When you hand your board a file, it keeps a distilled version of what the file says, not the file itself.
A log of what happens on your board. A dated record of actions on your board (a session held, a decision recorded, a plan changed), so that your record can be shown back to you and the service can run.
How much you use. Counts of use per month, such as how much text your board has processed, so plans and their limits can work.
What you agreed to. Which version of our terms and this policy you accepted, and when.
Billing. If you pay, your payment details are held by Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a billing record tied to you, the person who pays: your Stripe customer and subscription references, your plan, the status of your subscription, when the current month ends, whether you have asked to cancel, and whether a failed payment is in its grace period. Only you can see your billing record.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not use what you hand your board to train anyone else’s board.
- We do not routinely read or monitor what you tell your board.
Your board has a sharing setting, and it is off unless you turn it on.
We do not pool anything from your board with anyone else’s. If we ever offer a way to share something beyond your own board, it will be off until you choose to turn it on, and this policy will describe it before it is offered to you.
5. Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only to run Advicity:
- Supabase — our database, where your account and your board are stored, and our sign-in service, which sends your sign-in emails.
- Stripe — payments, for members on a paid plan.
- Vercel — hosting: it serves this site and the app to your browser.
- Anthropic — the provider of the model that writes your advisors’ answers. When you consult your board, the parts of your record needed to answer (your question, and the relevant North Star, memories and material) are sent to that model, and the answer comes back to be kept on your board.
Anthropic publishes its own terms for what it does with what is sent to it through the commercial interface Advicity uses, and we state them here as Anthropic states them rather than as a promise of our own. It says that inputs and outputs sent by a customer of that interface are automatically deleted from its systems within 30 days of being received or generated, apart from a few stated exceptions, such as where it must keep them longer to comply with the law or to enforce its usage policy. It also says, in its commercial terms, that it may not train its models on customer content from those services. You can read both for yourself: how long Anthropic stores an organization’s data and Anthropic’s commercial terms. If Anthropic changes either of them, we will change this section.
6. Who can see your board
Your board is invisible to every other member and to anyone who pays for your seat. No toggle, no exception. Inside our database, every record of your board is locked to your board’s own membership, and your billing record is locked to you.
Our own staff do not look at your board except in three cases: when you ask us to, so that we can help you with something; when the law compels it; and when we are investigating a security incident or a breach of the terms. Where the law allows, we tell you afterwards.
If you tell your board you are thinking of harming yourself, we will never report it to anyone.
If we receive a subpoena, a court order or any other legal demand, we disclose only what a valid order actually requires, and we tell you first where the law allows us to.
7. Where it is stored
Your account and your board are stored and processed in the United States.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your board for as long as your account exists. Moving to a smaller plan, or to Paper after a failed payment, never deletes anything: what is beyond the plan’s limits becomes dormant — kept, not used, and back when you move up.
You can ask us to erase your account and your board at any time, and that request will always be carried out. We erase it at once. Any copy of it that remains in a backup goes when that backup is replaced, within 30 days of your request, and after that the only thing we keep is the billing record the law requires us to keep.
One thing is outside our reach, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. Your questions and your advisors’ answers passed through Anthropic to be written. What Anthropic keeps, and for how long, is set by Anthropic and is described in section 5. Erasing your board here does not reach that copy; it falls away on Anthropic’s own schedule.
9. Your choices and your rights
- See and take it. Export all of it whenever you want, in the format Advicity reads back in, including anything dormant.
- Correct it. Change your North Star, your advisors and your notes yourself, or ask us.
- Erase it. Ask us, and it is done.
- Leave out what you want. You choose what goes in and what stays out.
Privacy law differs from state to state. Rather than write a separate section for each one, we give every member the same set of rights, written to meet the strictest law that applies to us. The rights above are yours wherever you live, and you use any of them by writing to ms@getadvicity.com. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising, so there is nothing of that kind to opt out of. If we ever have to turn a request down, we will tell you why.
10. Cookies
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site or in the app.
11. Children
Advicity is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and erase what it holds.
12. Keeping it safe
Your board is walled off from every other board inside the database itself, and we test that wall before we change anything that touches it. No system is perfectly secure.
If a security incident affects your information, we will tell you promptly, within the time the law sets, and we will say what happened, what it reached, and what we are doing about it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will tell you before the change reaches you, and we record which version you have agreed to. The same promises, without the headings, are on the privacy promise.
