FAQ

Questions people ask.

Can my board replace my financial adviser, trainer, therapist or coach?

No. Your board gives you perspective from your goals and what you share. It is not a licensed professional. For anything medical, legal, financial or about your mental health, see one, and take what your board helped you think through with you. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.

Are the advisors real people?

No. Your advisors are AI. Each has a name, a part of life (money, work, body, people or mind) and a point of view, so you always know whose view you are hearing. They are not licensed professionals. Meet your board →

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Paper plan is free, with no end date and no card needed. It gives you all 5 built-in advisors, one per question, plus one full board meeting a month. See the plans →

What do the paid plans cost?

The Charcoal plan is $99 a month, or $990 a year. The Ink plan is $249 a month, or $2,490 a year. The Brass plan is $499 a month, or $4,990 a year. Prices are in US dollars.

How do I cancel?

From Your plan in your account, or by writing to support@getadvicity.com. Your plan runs to the end of the month or year you paid for, then your board moves to the free Paper plan. Nothing is deleted.

Who can see my board?

Only you. No other member can see it, even someone who pays for your plan. Advicity does not look at it, except in three cases: you ask us to, the law requires it, or we are investigating a security incident or a breach of our terms. The privacy promise →

Can I take my board with me, or delete it?

Yes. Download everything on your board any time, in Settings. Or delete your account there, and your board is erased at once; a copy in a backup goes within 30 days (privacy section 8).

Can my board talk to other AI agents?

No. Your board only writes answers, inside Advicity. It cannot reach other AI agents, send email or act for you. When a question needs a current fact, it can look that fact up on the web (see the next answers).

Can't I just build my own AI board?

You can, the same way you can buy parts at the supply house and build the system yourself. Advicity is the system already built and tuned: a private board of advisors, ready to use, with nothing to set up or maintain. Your board answers from your North Star every time, so you never explain yourself from the beginning again. It keeps every decision you make, asks on the date you pick how it turned out, and uses that to make your next answer better. It reads only the newsletters and notes you hand it, and what you share is never sold or used for ads.

Can my board brainstorm, research or weigh up an opportunity?

It can brainstorm and weigh up an opportunity: ask in your own words, and each advisor answers from your goals and what you have shared. When a question needs a current fact, such as a rate, a price, a rule or a company's recent news, your board looks it up on the web and names where it looked (Paper: 3 lookups a day). The search is written without your name, your email, amounts of money or lines from your North Star. Everything else comes from what you share and what the AI model already knows. To give it something of your own, paste it in.

Where do I get the newsletters, courses and notes?

Use what you already have: the newsletters you subscribe to, courses you have taken, and your own notes, plans and journals. Advicity does not include any; you bring your own. Paste the text in, or upload a file: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, saved emails and web pages, ebooks, and text files. From Google Docs, Sheets or Slides, download it as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF first.
