Your newsletters and notes
Share documents, notes, newsletters, and more with your board. They sit in one place, and your advisors answer from them.
What it is
Paste some text, or upload one file, and your board learns from it: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, saved emails and web pages, ebooks, and text files. Everything you share sits under "What you have shared" on one screen, with the advisors who read it.
Why it matters
Your board answers from what you know and read, weighed against your goals. When an answer draws on something you shared, it names it.
How it works
- In the menu, choose "Your newsletters and notes".
- Paste the text, or choose a file of up to 4 MB. Give it a name if you like.
- Choose "Share it". With more than one advisor, your board picks the ones it fits best. Choose "Change" first to pick them yourself, up to 5.
- Your board reads it while you wait and says how much your advisors learned.
- Choose "Trust most" on the ones you rely on. Your advisors weigh those first and say when they used one.
A worked example
Dana, a fictional member, runs a print shop. She shares her 2026 operating plan as a PDF, pastes in the newsletter she reads every week, and marks the operating plan "Trust most". A month later she asks whether to raise her prices. The answer weighs the question against her operating plan, and under it the "Drew on" line names the operating plan and the newsletter.
Which plans include it
Every plan. The Paper plan holds 3 shared files or pasted texts, and the Ink plan holds 50. The Brass plan takes up to 200 a month.
Privacy and what the board keeps
Your board keeps what it learned from your files, not the files.
Questions
- What kinds of files can I share?
PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, saved emails and web pages, ebooks, and text files, up to 4 MB each. For anything else, copy its text and paste it in. An older Office file (.doc, .xls or .ppt) can be saved as .docx, .xlsx, .pptx or PDF first.
- Can I share a Google Doc?
Yes. From Google Docs, Sheets or Slides, download it as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF, then upload that file.
- How long can one share be?
Up to 100,000 characters, about 15,000 words. Split a longer one at a chapter, section or page break and share each part.
- Can I remove something I shared?
Yes. Choose "Remove" beside it under "What you have shared", then "Remove it". Every advisor that learned from it forgets it. On every plan but the Brass plan, that frees a place for another.
- What happens when my plan is full?
On the Brass plan, you can share again from the 1st of next month. On any other plan, remove an item to share another, or move to a plan that holds more.
